The Shrink Next Door

It may not look like it but there’s kind of a lull before some more midseason stuff gets going. I’ll see what I can highlight on that next week. Until then I’ll probably check out Cowboy Bebop on Netflix and the second season of The Great on Hulu.

  • The Game (Para+) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/11- A reboot of the 2006 Girlfriends spinoff, a look at Black culture through the prism of pro football.
  • Ragdoll (AMC+) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/11 – A trio of detectives look to stop a serial killer who stitches together multipe victims and could one of them be next?
  • The Shrink Next Door (App+) Series Premiere, Friday 11/12 – Dark comedy led by Wil Ferrell and Paul Rudd and including Casey Wilson and Kathryn Hahn as a doctor patient relationship morphs into a dysfunctional one.
  • The Freak Brothers (Tubi) Series Premiere, Sunday 11/14 – An adult animated series following a trio of stoners who wake in the present after sleeping for 50 years from a magical strain of weed.
  • Mayor of Kingstown (Para+) Series Premiere, Sunday 11/14 – A power cast including Jeremy Renner, Dianne Wiest and Kyle Chandler look at the managing of prisons in a small Michigan town.
  • Yellowjackets (Show) Series Premiere, Sunday 11/14, 10pm – Another power cast including Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, and Melanie Lynskey looks at a group of soccer players who survive a plane crash and their lives 25 years later, early reviews look favorable.
  • The Madame Blanc Mysteries (Acorn) Series Premiere, Monday 11/15 – An antiques dealer most come to terms with the death of her husband and loss of money.
  • Hollington Drive (SundN, 11/18) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/18 – British crime thriller about two sisters whose children may or may not be involved in the disappearance of a neighborhood child.
  • Partners in Rhyme (AllBlk) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/18 – A sitcom following the life of a high school rapper and the executive in charge of her career.
  • The Sex Lives of College Girls (HBOM) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/18 – A new comedy from Mindy Kaling following new college roomates.
  • Sort Of (HBOM) Series Premiere, Thursday 11/18 – The coming-of-age story of a gender fluid millennial and their various identities in this partnership with the CBC.
  • The Wheel of Time (Am) Series Premiere, Friday 11/19 – Fantasy series based on books, a journey with someone foretold to either save or destroy humanity.
  • Cowboy Bebop (Net) Series Premiere, Friday 11/19 – Bounty hunters across the galaxy, sounds like Killjoys no, this one is based on an anime series, sure I’m in.
