new and noteworthy tv: 4/8-4/14

After wrapping a couple of shows last week I cracked open The Shield after reading a list of great cop shows. Still have some various backlogs to do. Also this week looking forward to the return of The Bold Type a fun spring/summer show and will dive into at least Fosse/Verdon.

  • The Code (CBS) Series Premiere, Tuesday, 9pm – Dana Delany heads up another JAG-ish take on crime.
  • Fosse/Verdon (Fx) Series Premiere, Tuesday, 10pm – Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams are supposed to be worth a look in this dramatic biopic.
  • Black Summer (Net) Series Premiere, Thursday – In a prequel to Syfy’s Z Nation Jaime Kingplays a woman searching for her daughter at a zombie outbreak.
  • Huge in France (Net) Series Premiere, Friday – Semi autobiographical look at a comedian making the move to the US.
  • Special (Net) Series Premiere, Friday – Young gay man with cerebral palsy goes after new things in life
  • Les Miserables (PBS) Series Premiere, Sunday, 9pm – Worth a watch if you’re up for another adaptation.

Returning streaming: Diablo Guardian (Am, Friday)
