new and noteworthy tv: 3/18-3/24

Chipping away at a few shows and not really introducing any new shows until I do. Though did start a bit of a binge of the latest season of Queer Eye which I find to be a little too high on the schmaltz and a little light on the makeover details but it’s entertaining enough.

  • The Fix (ABC) Series Premiere, Monday, 10pm – This latest legal drama from Marcia Clark has likable Robin Tunney in the lead but doesn’t look more than middling.
  • The Village (NBC) Series Premiere, Tuesday, 10pm – The latest heartfelt offering of a bunch of people in a Brooklyn apartment that reportedly might not rise to This Is Us quality, and that’s a show I’m already over.
  • The Act (Hulu) Series Premiere, Wednesday – This new dramatic take on true crime dramas might have some merit with cast including Patricia Arquette and Chloe Sevigny.
  • Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (Free) Series Premiere, Wednesday, 8pm – Some of the gals go off to college, and yep there’s a murder, likely for fans of the original.
  • The Critters: A New Binge (Shudder) Series Premiere, Thursday – Apparently Shudder is maybe something else to look into if you’re in to horror, this is another take on the movies.
  • And a few new Netflix foreign offerings on Friday: Carlo & Malik, Coisa Mais Linda (Most Beautiful Thing), Delhi Crime, Historia De Un Crimen (History of Crime )

Returning streaming: The OA (Net, Friday)
