We’re dipping our toe into the fall pool and as I’ve probably stated I do try to give all the new ones a chance, particularly in the early weeks before I get backlogged. So Tea Leoni as Secretary of State is the most appealing to me and could be a great fit with Wife, which is still one of my faves. Debra Messing as Laura the mom/cop doesn’t look all that engaging but she can be amusing (or annoying). And I really can’t imagine myself sticking with the kids cancer ward Red Band but stranger things have happened.

Netflix adds a BBC police woman drama to the lineup, Intruders introduces another peculiar possibly paranormal tale of some peeps, and Masterpiece kicks off another mystery. As for reality I can’t really recommend ANTM to anyone who’s not already on-board but did find the intro of dudes last season to be a good one, and though it’s not a tattoo competition show will check out Epic to tide me over ’til the others return. And of course prepping for more tennis.

Outlander a time travel romance? based a book series might be worth a peek as is Soderbergh’s latest Knick with Clive Owen as a doc at the turn of the century, but maybe a pass on Partners not sure Grammer and Lawrence can save it. Also will take a look at G&O the girl group duo (some compare to Flight of the Conchords but who could hope…) and Morgan Spurlock looks at the Sins with another spin off of Summer Heights High (whatever that is) with Jonah.

A couple new comedies to check out including undoubtedly slightly off kilter FX with relationship shows Married and The Worst. USA tries its hand at more anti heros with doc for hire Rush and successful family man turned escort in Satisfaction and a touch more odd science with genetic baby raising Lottery and the docudrama Gunslingers. Nothing looks noteworthy but might be some decent summer fare. And of course more reality.
