new and noteworthy tv: 6/1-6/14

The Boys on Amazon hit its series finale and while I was over the show the finale did its job, staying tuned for the next spinoff. One Piece was equally as sweet the second season it’s not a great show but charming enough pirate adventures. The latest season of Bob’s Burgers continues to do its job on Fox/Hulu. Paradise took a turn in the second season that left me feeling somewhat splintered but slightly intrigued by what comes next. And Margot’s Got Money Problems finished just in time to hit my free Apple TV window and it was definitely enjoyable.

Movie-side I caught The Bride on HBO and while it was a little odd there was enough about it that worked that I enjoyed. Highest2Lowest, also in my Apple window, was the latest Spike Lee with Denzel in the lead, as a ‘thriller’ it wasn’t quite thrilling but entertaining enough.
