new and noteworthy tv: 9/26-10/2

Still making my way through last week’s tv, fortunately a cold this week forced me to take a little downtime to do some catching up as more stuff keeps coming.

  • Presidential Debate (Various) Monday, 6pm – Lester Holt moderates.
  • Aftermath (Syfy) Series Premiere, Tuesday, 10pm – Another post-apocalyptic endeavor.
  • Criminal Minds/Code Black (CBS) Season Premieres, Wednesday, 9/10pm – Thomas Gibson is out, who’s in? And more medical.
  • Younger/Impastor (TVL) Season Premiere, Wednesday, 10/10:30pm – I still find Younger, mostly due to the lead Sutton Foster, charming and they do a fun job of her 26 year old 40 year old lives and haven’t keep up with the fake holy man.
  • Crisis in Six Scenes (Am) Series Premiere, Friday – Woody Allen’s latest isn’t made more appealing sounding with the use of Miley Cyrus.
  • Marvel’s Luke Cage (Net) Series Premiere, Friday – I enjoyed this character’s turn in Jessica Jones so I’m looking forward to what he does in his own series.
  • Versailles (Ova) Series Premiere, Saturday, 10pm – Haven’t heard amazing things about this French import drama about the making of.
  • Saturday Night Live (NBC) Season Premiere, Saturday, 11:29 – Margot Robbie hosts.
  • Ash vs Evil Dead/Blunt Talk (Starz) Season Premiere, Sunday, 8/8:30pm – I’ve heard some good about Ash though not much about Blunt.
  • Madam Secretary/Elementary (CBS) Season Premiere, Sunday, 9/10pm – I’ll give these both another go.
  • Shameless (Show) Season Premiere, Sunday, 9pm – The return of the dysfunctional family.
  • Westworld (HBO) Series Premiere, Sunday 9pm – The latest high concept sci-fi/fantasy drama.
